Betty Ruth Follett, 76, of Nederland, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Mid Jefferson Extended Care Hospital in Beaumont.
She was born in Mobile, Alabama on October 5, 1944 to Oscar Cox and Jossie Palmer Cox.
Betty was a member of First Baptist Church in Port Arthur where she volunteered with Vacation Bible School, taught Sunday School and helped with many other activities.
A visitation for family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m., Monday, January 11, 2021 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with funeral services to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Betty is survived by her husband, Albert Follett of Nederland, TX, son Web Welker and wife Carole of Nederland, TX, daughter, Vera Canton and husband Thomas of Huntsville, TX, step daughter, Carrie Leyendecker of Groves, TX., sister, Merline Johnson and husband George of Mississippi, brother, T.J. Cox of Mississippi, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her step son, Reverend Mark Follett and brother, Ray Cox.
