Edes Joseph Racca

Edes Joseph Racca, 92, of Groves, Texas passed away Saturday, April 17, 20201 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Meaux, Louisiana on November 16, 1928 to Henry Racca and Elrita Meaux Racca.
Edes lived in Groves since 1956 and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus #3491.
He was employed with the City of Groves and retired after 35 years of service.
A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening, April 20, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the funeral home with Chaplain Jason Richards of Amedisys Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Darren Racca, Robert Green, Dakota Riley, Brennan Green, Wendy Edgar and Nathaniel Osment.
Edes was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Verda Racca, daughter, Lorette Lee and son in law, Bob Green.
He is survived by his daughters, Dolores Green of Groves, Texas and Donna Kaye Racca of Groves, Texas, sons, Ronnie Racca of Buna, Texas, and Darren Racca of Port Neches, Texas, son in law, Ronald Lee of Baytown, Texas, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
