Evelyn Townley

Evelyn Townley, 83, of Magnolia, Texas and formerly of Groves passed away Monday, September 27, 2010. Evelyn was born April 14, 1927 in Oktibbuka County, Mississippi to Amos Edgar Tomlinson and Sallie Harpole Tomlinson. She was a resident of Groves for 54 years before moving to Magnolia 5 years ago. She was a retired nurse with 15 years of service at Doctors Hospital and longtime member of First Baptist Church of Groves. Survivors include her two daughters, Jocelyn Locke and husband, Billy of Magnolia, TX, Loretta Clair Jaschke and husband, David of Houston, TX; two sons, Brodie Townley and wife, Sherri Ray of Groves, TX, Barry Townley and wife, Dana of Houston, TX; two sisters, Anne Nowell of Greenville, MS and Faye Dawes of Dillon, SC; one brother, Ray Tomlinson of Starkville, MS; two sister-in-laws, Christine Tomlinson of Starkville, MS and Dorothy LaFitte of Beaumont, TX; eight grandchildren, Bill Jaschke, Kyle Townley, Jerimy DeCuir, Aaron DeCuir, Andrea Locke, Jeremy Locke, Hailey Townley , Megan Townley; three great-grandchildren, Bailey DeCuir, Jacob DeCuir, and Peyton DeCuir; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Charles Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Barry Townley, Brodie Townley, Billy R. Locke, David Jaschke, Jeremy Locke, and Kyle Townley.
