Mrs. Frenchie Murphy

Frenchie Murphy, 94, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on January 23, 2022, at her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2022 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2022, at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Born in Jones County, Mississippi on November 20, 1927, she was the daughter of Joseph P. Melvin and Etta V. Copeland Melvin. She was a resident of Port Neches since 1950. Frenchie worked in sales at Dryden’s and also drove a school bus for Hughen School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Murphy; daughter, Glenda Tabor; and sister, Katie Stevens. She is survived by her sons, Lonnie Murphy and wife Barbara of Lumberton, Texas and Wendell Murphy and wife Maria of Port Neches, Texas; grandchildren, Daisy Hargraves and husband Hank, Lonnie Wayne Murphy, Jr., Alex Murphy and wife Christine, Melissa Tabor, and Jesse Tabor; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Major, Ivy, Rain, Oliver, and Isla Jo. Serving as pallbearers will be Lonnie Murphy, Jr., Alex Murphy, Hank Hargraves, and Major Hargraves.
