Jeffrey Alan Wilkinson

May 17, 1962 — April 30, 2021

Jeffrey Alan Wilkinson, 58, passed away on Friday April 30, 2021. Jeff was born in Rockdale, Texas to Jeanette Kerr and Richard Wilkinson on May 17, 1962. A longtime resident of Southeast Texas, Jeff graduated from Nederland High School in 1980 and Lamar University in 1989 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Jeff also held degrees in Auto and Diesel Mechanics.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Jeanette Kerr of Nederland, TX, his three brothers Lee Kerr Jr. of Nederland, Robert Kerr of Los Angeles, and Michael Kerr of Studio City, CA; his children Jordan Wilkinson and Kendall Wilkinson of Lindale, TX; step-children, Tammy Dupre and husband Phillip of Nederland, Eisha Killian and husband Greg of Beaumont, Morgan Williams and husband Aaron of College Station, Dion Jackson of Austin, and Hannah Nelson of Groves; and 7 grandchildren, who will miss their Big Guy.
Jeff is preceded in death by his wife Roxanna Wilkinson, stepfather Lee G. Kerr, Sr., his father Richard Wilkinson, and infant son Douglas Reed Wilkinson.
Jeff had an intelligence that seemed to have no bounds. Growing up he was a great deal of help to his mother with his much younger brothers while their Dad was away for weeks and months at a time at sea on merchant vessels. Always athletic, Jeff played baseball and basketball throughout school and was a lifelong sports fan. He shared his love of movies and music with his brothers. At family gatherings his grandchildren could not wait to see their Big Guy. Jeff will be greatly missed by family and friends. A celebration of life will be held in Beaumont, TX on Saturday June 12, 2021. Cremation is under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
