Linda Tate Jones, 79, of Port Neches, passed away on Tuesday, March 14,2023, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Officiating the services will be Reverend Rick Shreve. A burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 17,2023, at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.

Linda was born in Sumner, Mississippi, on March 4, 1944, to George W. Tate and Elizabeth Connor-Tate.
She was an avid collector of Christmas. She was a member of The National Hallmark Club and Santa’s Side Kicks. She enjoyed making crafts including corsages and flower bouquets which she made for loved ones before she lost mobility in her hands.

She was preceded in death by her brother, George Tate, and sister, Elizabeth Ann Gardner.

She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Ray Jones Jr. of Port Neches, TX; her daughters, Cindy Prince and husband Anthony of Maddison, Alabama; and Rachel Jones of Port Neches, TX; her son, Ray Jones III and wife Lesley of Fulshear, TX; brother, Tom Tate and wife Janet of Rogers, AK; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Thatch Jones, and Ray Jones IV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mississippi State University.
