Lois Kyler

Lois Kyler, 91, of Groves, Texas entered fully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on March 1, 2019. She was born on July 20, 1927 in Port Arthur, Texas. Lois received her teaching degree from Lamar University and was a teacher at Taft Elementary for seven years. After retiring, she used her gift for teaching to reach many people through Community Bible Study where she was both a member and a leader. She also served as a Christian counselor at Agape Christian Fellowship. Lois was blessed with a large and loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Lois was a source of strength and encouragement to all who knew her. Her encouraging words have touched many throughout her life and will continue to echo in the hearts and minds of those who loved her. Lois was a woman of strong Christian faith. She is now resting in the arms of her Savior and is reunited with her beloved husband of 37 years, Knox Kyler Jr. She leaves behind one brother, Gene Hebert and his wife Linda of Deer Park, Texas. Her vast legacy lives on through her five children, Karen Smith and husband Rick of Kingwood, Danette Paschall and husband Greg of Kingwood, Greg Kyler and wife Tina of Nederland, Jeff Kyler and wife Pam of Nederland, and Bubba Kyler and wife Terri of Groves. She also leaves a wealth of Godly wisdom to her cherished ten grandchildren, Tiffany Martin, Alecia Kyler, Chrissy Aylor, Marcus Kyler, Blake Salem, Kelley Tomlin, Amber Corbett, Kimberly Rodgers, Aaron Salem, and Garrett Kyler and her fourteen great grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2019, at Groves First Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Worley officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
