Mary Jean Loretta Solorzano, 67, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Mary Jean was born May 10, 1953 in Pueblo, Colorado to Gene Maese and Mary Lou Gomez Maese.
She was a resident of this area for 40 years and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches.
Mary Jean was a retired Registered Nurse having worked at Mid-Jefferson Hospital and Texan Plus.
Mary loved her family more than anything in the world and was equally loved by her family. She valued the importance of family and loved nothing more than spending time with her grandkids. She loved the simple things in life, whether it was curled up in a blanket with one of her grandpuppies watching movies or sitting on the deck with her "love" Tom watching the grandkids play and swim, she was happy. She was very loving and caring and welcomed everyone into her home and always made them feel like they were part of the family and would never let anyone leave with an empty stomach.
After retiring she would go back home to Pueblo, Colorado as often as she could to help care for her Daddy, Gene, whom she loved dearly. Just as she did for her family in Texas, she always made sure her family in Colorado was taken care of.
She will be remembered for the love and compassion she showed everyone and as a devoted, loving and compassionate wife and mother.
She will be greatly missed...
Visitation for family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 10:45 a.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Reverend Shane Baxter officiating.
Mary Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou Gomez-Maese.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Tom Solorzano, Sr.; father, Gene Maese; sons, Thomas Solorzano, Jr., Adam Solorzano and wife Becky, and Nathan Solorzano and wife Lindsay; brothers, Larry Maese, Eddie Maese and wife Donna, Frank Maese and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Brittany and partner Crystal, Allissa and husband Colby, Manae and husband Steven, Xzavier and wife Tracy, Victor, Mason, Lexi, Hannah, Emma, AJ, Anthony, Marcus, Keira; and great-grandchild, Hunter.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Maese, Frank Maese, Xzavier Solorzano, Victor Solorzano, Mason Solorzano, and Colby Blackwell.
