Nelda Mae Lisbony

Nelda Mae Lisbony, 93, of Groves, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Collier Park in Beaumont, Texas.
She was born in Arcadia, Louisiana on November 23, 1927 to Thomas Dores Lee and Myrtle McConathy Lee.
Nelda was a lifelong area resident and retired from Texaco after working 40 years as a secretary and truck dispatcher. After retirement she worked at "TARA" for Texaco planning activities for Texaco retirees.
Nelda was also an artist and loved painting with "Windberg". She loved spending time with her family, shopping, and painting. She adored her great niece and great nephew, Brittany and Jeremy, and her greatest joy was seeing and holding her great great nephew, A.J., who was born this past September.
A graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves with Reverend Bill Brazell officiating.
Nelda was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Edward J. "Buddy" Lisbony.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Lloyd Lee of Sour Lake, Texas; nieces, Lisa Moneypenny and husband Gary of Overton, Texas, and Jennifer Jannise and husband Nathan of China, Texas; nephew, Robert Lane Lee of Sour Lake, Texas and cousin, George McConathy of Orange, Texas.
