She was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on December 31, 1937 to Joseph Mouton and Anaise Smith Mouton.
Nellie was a homemaker and lived in the area for 55 years.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Paul Trahan of Groves; sons, Dwayne J. Trahan and wife P.J. of Port Arthur, Mike Trahan and wife Letha of Groves, Jack Trahan and wife Helen of Groves; brother, Wiley Mouton and wife Betty of Lafayette; grandchildren, Nick Trahan, Steven Trahan, Allyson Anderson and husband Cody, Lauren Trahan and Logan Trahan; great-grandchildren, Caden and Kaleigh and extra grandchildren Charlotte, Liam and their mother, Katie Edgar.
