Paul was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, on May 17, 1936, to Dudley and Cecile Trahan.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Maelise Trahan, Mable Morgan, and Bernice Duhon; brothers, Wallace Trahan, Wesley Trahan, Dudley Trahan Jr., and Voorhies Trahan; and his daughter-in-law Helen Trahan.
He is survived by his sons, Dwayne J. Trahan and wife P.J. of Port Arthur, TX; Mike Trahan and wife Letha of Groves, TX; and Jack Trahan of Groves, TX; brothers, Louis Trahan of Houston, TX; and Harold Trahan and wife Jeanette of Spring, TX; sister, Irene Kroger, of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Nick Trahan, Steven Trahan, Allyson Anderson and husband Cody, Lauren and Logan Trahan; great-grandchildren, Caden and Kaleigh and extra grandchildren, Charlotte, Liam and their mother, Katie Edgar.
