Pauline Claire Abney, 88, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Pauline was born in Dracut, Massachusetts, on July 4, 1933, she was the daughter of Charles Dupuis and Irene Robert Dupuis. She was self- employed and the owner of Polly’s Arts and Crafts. She worked many years in retail including Walden Books, Hallmark, and she enjoyed serving people. She was a resident in the area for 40 years and was of Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph “Charlie” Abney; brother, Robert C. Dupuis and sisters, Lucille Charbonneau and Pearl Beauchesne. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Dengler and husband Jeffrey, Sr. of Port Neches, son, George Abney and wife Kathy, of Spotsylvania, Virginia, grandchildren, Jeff Dengler, Jr., and wife Ashlyn, Jared Abney, Cody Abney, and Erin Abney, great grandchildren, Kylee Abney, Kaleb Dengler, Audrey Dengler, and Madison Abney.
