Porfirio Stephen Martinez

Porfirio Stephen Martinez, 96, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Houston, Texas on December 26, 1923 to Porfirio Martinez and Consuelo Cantu Martinez. Porfirio was a career military man, proudly serving his country in the United States Army during World War II and then in the United States Navy for 20 years. After retiring from the military, Porfirio returned to the area and worked many years for Coastal Marine Services in Port Arthur, Texas. He is survived by his two daughters, Lani Randall and husband Len of Lumberton, TX, and Lisa Welty and husband William of Nederland, TX, two sons, Mark Martinez and wife Wendy of Silsbee, TX and Greg Martinez of Port Neches, Tx, sister, Terry Gonzales and husband Oscar of Spring, TX, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Porfirio was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Alice Montalvo Martinez, five sisters and two brothers.
