Mr. Richard "Rick" Funderburk

Mr. Richard “Rick” Funderburk, 62, of Oakhurst, Texas passed away on March 1, 2022 at Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Born in Port Arthur, Texas on April 2, 1959, he was the son of Albert J. Funderburk Sr. and Shirley Chambers Funderburk. Rick lived in Oakhurst, Texas where he retired from the Texas Department of Corrections as a HVAC Technician. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and he loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert J. Funderburk. Rick is survived by his mother, Shirley Funderburk of Groves; son, Nicholas Daniel Funderburk and wife Hailey of Virginia; three grandchildren, Gage, Aubry and Charley; sister, Darla Speicher of Hudson; brother A.J. Funderburk and wife Linda of Hudson and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at a later date with Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
