Robert Benjamin McLane

Robert Benjamin McLane, 76, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Mid Jefferson Extended Care Hospital in Nederland, Texas. Robert was born January 8, 1944 in Middletown, Connecticut to Oscar Walton McLane and Marjorie I. Sellew McLane. Robert was a retired educator with 37 years of service with the Port Arthur Independent School District. He proudly served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1967-1969 during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his son, Gilmer E. Espinoza of Port Arthur; sister, Susan Sara McLane of Putnam, Connecticut; Jonathan McLane of Connecticut. A visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
